ASM INDUSTRIES STARTED PRODUCTION OF FRYSLAN OFFSHORE WIND TOWERS

ASM Industries started in September the fabrication of 42 offshore wind tower sections to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) for Fryslan Offshore Wind Farm. The project will be installed in Dutch waters and will be composed, in total, by 89 offshore turbines 4.3 T108.66.

Fabrication activities are taking place at ASM Offshore, located in Aveiro Port, during the next months.

“This is a very important milestone achieved. Our new facility has successfully been commissioned and ramped up, and this project is one more step towards our strategy to be involved in the most challenging and demanding projects in the offshore industry, cooperating together with the major leading companies, such as SGRE, contributing actively for the Energy Transition.” Adelino Costa Matos, CEO, said.

ASM Industries has been also successful in securing a strong backlog for 2020 and 2021, “Over last months we have reached the highest Backlog in ASM Industries history, and our pipeline of Tenders gives us a strong expectation for the future ahead of us, consolidating our presence as one of the main fabricators of Wind Towers, Offshore Foundations and Marine Structures in a unique strategic location”.
