Energy Networks Innovation Conference 2021 confirmed for 12th – 15th October

There has never been a more exciting time for innovation in the electricity and gas networks as we look to a Net Zero future for the UK. This makes this year’s free, virtual Energy Networks Innovation Conference a ‘must attend’ event for anyone involved in energy sector innovation.

This year’s conference is a free, interactive virtual conference to be held on 12th – 15th October. Registration will open later in the year.

The Energy Networks Innovation Conference (ENIC), run by Energy Networks Association (ENA), is the UK’s flagship knowledge dissemination event for the electricity and gas energy network operators.

Taking place just weeks before the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), ENIC is a ‘must attend’ event for anyone involved in managing, developing or delivering innovations that will pave the way for a Net Zero future supported by our gas and electricity networks.

Innovation is the foundation on which our Net Zero future will be built, enabling a smarter and more flexible energy system and new technologies like electric vehicles, while also supporting markets for storage and hydrogen.

Confirming the date for this year’s conference, David Smith, Chief Executive of Energy Networks Association which represents the UK and Ireland’s energy networks said:

“As we look to hit our Net Zero targets, keeping a relentless focus on innovation in the gas and electricity networks has never been more important. Attracting delegates from around the world, this year’s free Energy Networks Innovation Conference on 12-15 October is shaping up to be one of the best and I encourage everyone with an interest to join us. Look out for registration opening later this year.”

ENA – the voice of the networks

We’re Energy Networks Association, the industry body for the UK and Ireland’s energy networks. Our members own and operate the wires and pipes which carry electricity and gas into your community, supporting our economy.

The wires and pipes are the arteries of our economy, delivering energy to over 30 million homes and businesses across the UK and Ireland. To do this safely and reliably, the businesses which run the networks employ 45,000 people (36,000 in Great Britain) and have invested more than £100 billion since privatisation.
