Building Department Gives WePOWER Turbine Green Light After Testing
The first Vertical Axis Wind Turbine has now gone live in San Diego County, at the home of a forward-thinking resident named Tim Williams, who is taking action to go green. This 3.4 kW Falcon turbine from WePOWER was installed on an 18′ pole on Williams’ property by Joe Moore Construction, an authorized WePOWER dealer.
Joe More appeared before the County Building Department and presented WePOWER’s modern Vertical Axis Wind Turbine for approval. Unlike traditional prop-style turbines, WePOWER’s Falcon turbines are virtually vibration-, noise-, and maintenance- free, and are safe for birds.
To permit the installation, San Diego County Building Department required a satisfactory report from a qualified third party. TUV SUD America, Inc., a globally recognized testing and certification organization, inspected and promptly approved the job.
