LOC Group opens new office in Hamburg, Germany


Entry into Germany enables LOC to develop the Renewables and Shipping offering in Europe 

LOC has opened a new office in Hamburg, Germany, to develop the Renewables and Shipping offering of the Group within the region. This will be the Group’s sixth office in Europe and its twenty sixth office globally.

Strategically located within Germany’s maritime and offshore hub, LOC’s new Hamburg office will enable the Group to have a local presence in Germany. The team are well placed to bid for and win competitive and non-competitive tendered work, as well as being able to leverage the services provided by Innosea and Longitude to the German renewables market.

The office will be led by Christoph Ruck and Emek Ersin Takmaz. Christoph is a Naval Architect and International Welding Engineer, with a strong network in the German maritime industry through nine years of experience working with German ship owning companies operating in heavy lift and project business, and five years of experience working with DNV GL, the classification society. Emek Ersin Takmaz, is a Naval Architect and Project Manager with strong global experience in marine industry. Previously he worked with a German ship owner for five years and was responsible for heavy lift and project cargo operations across the renewables, infrastructure and oil and gas sectors. In addition, he spent two years with an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation company in the Middle East, where he worked on medium-large scale marine transportation and offshore installation projects.
