HUSUM | 22 August 2019: The countdown is on: HUSUM Wind, the German wind trade fair and the most important industry meeting of the year, will soon be opening its doors. From 10-13 September the wind industry will be back in Germany’s wind mecca, North Frisia.

All told, exhibitors from 25 countries are represented at this year’s HUSUM Wind, with an international business share of 17 per cent. After Germany, the top countries in terms of exhibitor presence are Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain, France and the Netherlands. Companies from China, the USA and India from the components, service & maintenance, raw materials and materials sectors will also be showing.

“We are delighted that HUSUM Wind is a cross-market platform for the industry,” says Arne Petersen, Managing Director of Messe Husum & Congress GmbH.

Since 2015, the focus of HUSUM Wind has been on the German-speaking core market, with 83 percent of the exhibiting companies coming from Germany. The trade fair, which is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi), sees itself as a future-oriented platform for product innovations, networking and practical knowledge transfer. All but four per cent of the exhibition area is already fully booked.

HUSUM Wind covers the entire value chain of the onshore and offshore industry in the areas of plant construction, service, planning, financing and operation, plant components and raw materials. Located at the heart of Germany’s largest wind farm network between the North and Baltic Seas, the trade fair offers a unique contact platform for the wind industry, characterised by practical relevance, networks that have grown over decades and an extraordinary personal atmosphere. The HUSUM Wind programme is rounded off by an accompanying congress, forums and matchmaking formats such as the international cooperation exchange HUSUM Wind Match (organised by WTSH and the Enterprise Europe Network) for research institutions and businesses, and the Windcareer job fair.
