BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH (BBB) at RENEX in Istanbul

From 9 to 12 December 2010, BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH (BBB), among the leading German consulting service providers in the field of wind energy, will be exhibiting at the Turkish RENEX fair. The company’s wind energy experts from Gelsenkirchen and Weiden will be available to share their knowledge with visitors at the joint exhibition stand of the state of North-Rhine Westphalia in Hall 1, Stand 1H29 at the Istanbul Expo Center. “We firmly believe in the opportunities offered by the Turkish market,” stressed Joachim Binotsch, one of three executive directors at BBB. He is responsible for technical due diligence at the company’s head offices in As a link between the continents of Europe, Asia and Africa, Turkey offers special opportunities for services “made in Germany”.

According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Turkey will be Europe’s fastest growing country in 2011. “We are already working with Turkish partner IHSAN TURKELI on some interesting, trend-setting projects,” explained Binotsch, adding, “The growth potential for wind energy in Turkey will not be exhausted for a long time.”

The aim of the Turkish government is to increase wind energy capacity from 800 MW to 10 000 MW in 2014. Thus far, Turkey has to a large extent been reliant on energy imports, although conditions are ideal for expanding production, particularly in solar energy and geothermal facilities. The promulgation of a law revising regulation of feed-in tariffs for renewable energy has been expected for some time and would benefit this sector.

In 2009, RENEX organisers successfully persuaded 300 national and international companies to exhibit at the new trade fair on the Bosporus. A total of 17 000 people attended the Turkish exhibition on renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste, water treatment, the environment and flow control technology. Figures for the second fair, to be held in December of this year, speak for themselves: Several hundred exhibitors are expected and gross exhibition space will total 12 000 square metres.

As a result of the positive response to the first event, the organisers have added another hall to the venue. About BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH is based in Gelsenkirchen and Weiden.
