Software competence at system builder teamtechnik

Automation today is smart – and it generates enormous data volumes. It enables quick and easy analysis and monitoring of processes and products and their constant optimization. At Automatica, teamtechnik Group will be demonstrating how they are reinventing system building with their software competence and in-house software development. As a result, data security and evaluation, traceability and the handling of increasing data volumes are all becoming faster and more reliable. Visitors can see this live for themselves at the teamtechnik stand (Hall A6, Stand 302).

Stefan Rosskopf, CEO of teamtechnik, summarizes the situation: ‘In modern industrial automation, control and software now accounts for about 50% of the investment. For this reason we have been investing heavily for years in our know-how in software and control technology.’

At Automatica 2018, teamtechnik will be exhibiting the outcome of its extensive software competence. Data relating to the product, production and production system are all evaluated constantly, promptly and in a web-based environment in ordinary automation situations, with no additional time or effort. This means that production rates can be analyzed faster and more reliably, thereby increasing them.

Manufacturers in the medtech and automotive fields benefit from this in particular since in these areas the traceability of production data is vital. The teamtechnik software therefore reliably tracks information such as machine settings, test sequence versions, recipes and batch types. The immense data volumes are compressed intelligently so that they can be unpacked and made available again quickly at any time. ‘There is no need for programming knowledge. Users can edit the test sequences easily by themselves, change process parameters, perform configuration, and even optimize cycle times – completely independently, using graphical programming based on drag and drop’, explains Dr. Matthias Bengel, Vice President of R&D Software at teamtechnik.
