NEW INNOVATIONS FROM FIMER SET TO STRENGTHEN ITS POSITION IN GLOBAL SOLAR INVERTER MARKET

FIMER, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of solar inverter solutions, has announced new extensions to several of its market-leading ranges.  With further product innovations planned for 2020, the announcements come as it looks to strengthen its global positioning as the fourth largest solar inverter business in the world.

FIMER has expanded its best-selling cloud connected, high-power, three-phase string solution, the PVS100/120 range.

The latest version enables installers to choose set-up of one or two MPPTs for east-west orientation, helping to deliver total flexibility and enabling the installer to select parallel inputs during installation and commissioning phase, and deliver a truly responsive system to ultimately improve yields.

Suitable for 1000V commercial and industrial applications, large rooftop installations, and the retrofit of ageing inverters in existing plants, the new range will be available from Q3 2020.

For microgrid applications, FIMER has also announced a new addition to its MGS-100 range – the MGS-100-15 – available as a 15kW modular system for up to 90kW in one cluster.

Designed to provide reliable electricity for remote off-grid sites and back-up power for smaller commercial and industrial facilities, the system offers multiple operating modes for both off- and on-grid applications and brings together all components required for a sustainable microgrid into a single device.

The dedicated generator section with wide frequency and voltage band also ensures seamless solar integration and operation with other renewable sources such as biomass and wind generators, without compromising on power quality. The new MGS-100-15 is significantly lighter and more compact making it easier to transport and move into location on site, even in the most remote locations where there are transport and logistics limitations. The MGS-100-15 will be available globally from Q4 2020.

For utility-scale solar projects, the enhanced PVS980-58 central inverter with unique cooling capabilities is now available with UL certification for the North American market. It delivers high-power capabilities with 1500V and enables one of the highest DC/AC ratios up to 2, with power levels up to 5,000kVA at 690VAC, for EPCs, developers and end users.

It will also be launching a new three-phase inverter platform for small commercial applications during the second half of 2020.

In addition to new products and solutions, FIMER has a strong focus of investment in service and customer experience, with new offerings and improvements being introduced during 2020 and 2021.

Filippo Carzaniga, Chairman of FIMER Group, comments:

“These new product and service developments across some of our most popular ranges demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement in line with market demand.  They come as we start our ambitious new vision for FIMER following our recent business acquisition.  Our core aim is to be the ‘bankable’, trusted partner for our customers, confidently delivering high-quality products and brand to the solar inverter market.  We are investing in our brand with a new direction focused on adding value through exceptional service experience, our approach to do business in a different way and through the delivery of products that operate reliably and have significant longevity.

“Our engineering approach is not so much driven by R&D philosophies of the teams, but rather driven by the voice of our customers, interpreting their requirements and market dynamics, thinking ahead to how we can shape the future of energy beyond what is common today.“
