Meyer Burger Technology Ltd strengthens its sales and service organization in the United States and acquires through its fully owned subsidiary 3S Industries USA Inc. (new: MBT Systems Ltd.) by way of an asset purchase transaction the employees and assets of SGS Slicing Solutions Inc. and SGS Machine Tool LLC. Closing of the transaction is expected before the end of 2010. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Meyer Burger Technology AG (SIX Swiss Exchange: MBTN) announced today that it will strengthen its sales and service organization in the United States. Based on an asset purchase agreement signed today, 3S Industries USA Inc. (new: MBT Systems Ltd.) acquires certain assets and takes over all of the employees of SGS Slicing Solutions Inc., Colombia, New Jersey, and der SGS Machine Tool LLC, Hillsboro, Oregon. Both sellers are longstanding strategic sales and service partner for Meyer Burger’s (MB Wafertec) saw systems and solutions. Furthermore, 3S Industries USA Inc., in Tucson, Arizona, changed its name to MBT Systems Ltd. and will act as the new sales and service company of the Meyer Burger Technology group in the United States.
