KAG a new standard for handrails and safety

Acurail introduces new standards for safety at workplaces and in public spaces. They do this with the innovation of the traditional handrail. A new steel grip will reduce slip and fall accidents and improve safety across sectors and industries.

The recently launched KAG safety system is an innovation and a further development of traditional handrails, railings and grab rails. There is a strong emphasis on safety and functionality of the unique design, which visually separates Acurail’s railings from the standard.

Innovative methods and twisted design

The steel for the handrail has a beautiful and innovative rolled design that any size hand can get a stronger grip of”, says Torben Pedersen, owner of Acurail. In addition to the safety benefits, the unique design makes the steel stronger. This means that you can save on material thickness, without losing tensile strength. And to accommodate many sectors and industries, for example, healthcare, offshore and marine, it is available in all shapes, sizes and materials, such as steel, copper, stainless and aluminium.

Acurail offers solutions for all workplaces, buildings, public transport, as well as offshore and marine, but the healthcare, hospital and nursing home sector can particularly benefit from the system.

No more slip and fall accidents
According to Torben Pedersen, statistics show that the highest percentage of accidents at workplaces and in public spaces are slip and fall accidents. Acurail can help to reduce this. Tests show that the grip on their KAG safety system increases by up to 300% depending on conditions compared with standard handrails.

Our system has undergone all the required tests and complied with the requirements regarding safety for handrails, handles and grab rails”, says Torben.

A wish to create a new standard of design and safety

Besides the goal of reducing accidents and improving safety, Acurail wishes to create a new standard for handrails, so slip and fall accidents at workplaces and in public spaces can be reduced and safety improved.
