GP Solar presents innovative products for optimizing solar production at SNEC in Shanghai

At this year’s 5th International Solar Industry and Photovoltaic Exhibition & Conference in Shanghai (SNEC) GP Solar GmbH presents its newest product advancement in laboratory measuring technology, the GP ISO-TEST .Waf. The wholly owned subsidiary of centrotherm photovoltaics AG will also present consumables – some with improved recipes – under the new brand, >GP Solar Materials<. All of these developments aim at further increasing efficiency in solar cell production.

GP ISO-TEST .Waf is an essential measuring tool for achieving the highest cell efficiencies. The unit tests isolation resistance between the front and back sides of diffused wafers following chemical edge isolation. The prototype of the measuring device will be on display at SNEC.

In addition to a completely revamped design, the new GP ISO-TEST .Waf offers numerous updates in both technology and handling. The new electronics and user display are integrated directly into the housing. Improved mechanics makes the device much easier to use. “These improvements deliver reliable process monitoring results, increase production efficiency, and at the same time optimize the cost structure for our customers,” explains GP Solar managing director Dr. Eric Rüland. “Series production of the GP ISO-TEST .Waf will begin in March.”
Under its new >GP Solar Materials< brand, GP Solar develops process-specific consumables for processing solar cells. Among the brand’s products are proprietary etching pastes and metallization pastes in cooperation with Monocrystal, chemicals, and innovative consumables.
GP ALKA-TEX .Plus, GP Solar’s successful chemical additive for monocrystalline texturization will be presented to the Chinese market. This GP Solar additive ensures stable processing results, reduces process times, and enables reliable use of a basic recipe for different wafers. Customers profit from improved texture homogeneity, which increases solar cell efficiency.
