Solare Datensysteme GmbH (SDS) opens Branch Office in China

Solare Datensysteme GmbH (SDS) is pleased to announce the opening of its new branch office in Shanghai, China. This new office will enhance the presence of SDS within the Chinese market and will offer innovative products and solutions for customers in one of the world’s most influential and expanding photovoltaic countries.

The new office will be managed by Steve Cheung, who has extensive knowledge of renewable energy, especially in the area of photovoltaic technology.

Steve Cheung, General Manager from SDS in China, says, “The importance and use of renewable energies are constantly increasing. The transition to clean energy is in full swing and can no longer be disregarded. Climate protection and the consumption of self-generated power from renewable energy sources improves the quality of life. In the first quarter of 2016, China installed PV plants with a total output of over 7 GWp. This equals 14% of the 50.6 GWp which were commissioned globally last year. This shows how the Chinese photovoltaic market is growing up and the high potential that it has. I look forward to being involved in this exciting industry and to making contributions with my previous experience to make SDS successful in China.”

Dr. Frank Schlichting, CEO of SDS, explains, “We at Solar-Log™ believe that creating a better world is a global endeavor. With our experienced new Shanghai team, we will be able to provide comprehensive local support, gather better business intelligence about the specific product requirements for the Chinese market, and deliver customized sales and marketing programs to foster sustainable energy in the most populated country on this planet.”
