Deutsche Windtechnik is seeing strong growth in the number of Senvion turbines under contract. Service contracts have been signed for 110 additional turbines at 32 wind farms since the beginning of the year, ranging from type MM92 to type 6.2M. The onshore wind farms are located in Germany, Belgium, France and the UK and include a wide range of turbine types of all technology generations. Deutsche Windtechnik's total portfolio of Senvion wind turbines now comprises 2,446 MW. This development is the result of the increasing global demand for the comprehensive services provided by Deutsche Windtechnik, which include technical support and spare parts management. 69 of the wind turbines recently contracted are located in Germany, Belgium and France, and most of them receive full maintenance. They have already been seamlessly integrated into Deutsche Windtechnik's service network. Support for service for a further 41 wind turbines in the UK is provided by the German business unit. Half of the newly covered systems in Germany are operated by STAWAG Energie GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of Stadtwerke Aachen Aktiengesellschaft. In early January, innogy won a remuneration contract in a Polish solar auction for photovoltaic units with a total installed capacity of 42 megawatts. Trustful cooperation between GANIL and Pfeiffer Vacuum Innovative vacuum technology in heavy-ion research HiPace turbopumps for the new experimental area at the SPIRAL2 particle accelerator at DESIR Asslar, May 11, 2020. Pfeiffer Vacuum has received several major orders from the French large-scale research facility GANIL (Grand Accélérateur National d'Ions Lourds) (National Large Heavy Ion Accelerator) for the supply of turbopumps and custom vacuum chambers. The French national research center GANIL in Normandy has been in operation since 1983. It is one of the largest heavy-ion accelerators, together with the GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research. GANIL maintains numerous international collaborations, in particular with GSI in Darmstadt for the development of the FAIR (Germany) and SPIRAL2-DESIR (France) projects. The particle accelerators there generate a wide range of ion beams, which are used in particular to produce very heavy atomic nuclei. These exotic nuclei are created by the collision of high-energy particles and do not occur in nature under normal conditions. The Nordex Group (ISIN: DE000A0D6554) confirms the preliminary figures released on 5 May 2020. Sales in the first quarter of 2020 increased to EUR 964.6 million (Q1/2019: EUR 398.9 million). Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose to EUR 13.1 million (Q1/2019: EUR 3.3 million), showing an EBITDA margin of 1.4 percent (Q1/2019: 0.8 percent). The increase in sales is mainly attributable to the sharp rise in installation numbers in the Projects segment.
