Ellzee, 04.05.2017. In July 2017, inverter manufacturer SolarMax starts shipping its modular complete storage system MaxStorage TP-S, developed primarily for private applications. Since the product was first presented at Intersolar Europe 2016, the company has incorporated several improvements suggested by its customers before this market launch. The three-phase system solution unites a lithium-ion storage battery, a self-learning energy management system and a seven-kilowatt SolarMax 7TP2 inverter in one housing. Thanks to its modular design it is always possible to retrofit a DC converter and battery pack, whereby the rated capacity of each battery module is 2.3 kilowatt-hours. Up to a total of four batteries can be added, enabling a rated capacity of up to 9.2 kilowatt-hours.  A bidirectional DC/DC booster ensures high efficiencies. The integrated MaxWeb XPN data logger regulates the energy flow and adjusts it to suit energy needs and availability. SolarMax continuously monitors the battery status, thus guaranteeing high availability. The model is supplied with numerous interfaces. These include LAN, RS485, Modbus, KNX and an interface for direct marketing. Compared with the prototype that SolarMax introduced at last year’s Intersolar Europe, the new system is now much more compact and can be quickly and easily installed by one person alone.  “With

The wind farm is located nearby Victoria City (Tamaulipas State) The project includes 15 wind turbines of 3,45 MW May 2017. GES will construct a new 52MW wind farm in Tamaulipas State (Mexico). The contract includes the complete Balance of Plant of the project: civil works, medium voltage line, substation, high voltage line and two new positions at the interconnection substation. The project is the third phase of the Tres Mesas wind farm, that was awarded to ENGIE in the second auction, back in September 2016. GES will be in charge of the detailed engineering of the project and the construction. GES has an in-house engineering team, which enables the company to walk together withits customer from the very beginning of the project, in the first stages, when it is still under development, optimizing cost and resources as much as possible. GES has a long-standing, strong presence in the Mexican market, with more than 730MW constructed, 2,000MW installed and a local team of 150 professionals. These figures also count with the global reputation support. GES has an unmatched track record, with more than 12GW constructed in more than 40 countries and 20 years experience in construction and services for

ntersolar Europe presents the latest market developments Munich, May 3, 2017 – The ever changing weather conditions that solar modules are exposed to can put materials and components under considerably strain. Regular testing and maintenance for modules and systems is crucial in order to guarantee and optimize the profitability of plants. As the number of large-scale PV power plants increases, the demand for efficient and cost-effective solutions for operation and maintenance has also grown, giving rise to a dynamic market for services specifically in this area. For this reason, Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry and its partners, and the accompanying Intersolar Europe Conference are taking an in-depth look this year at the topic of operation and maintenance (O&M), as well as recent developments, opportunities and challenges in this field. According to a study published by GTM Research and SoliChamba Consulting, the global market for operation and maintenance grew to a total volume of 182 gigawatts (GW) in 2016 – 54% more than in the previous year. This means that more than half of the O&M market has emerged in the last two years alone. Thanks to growth driven mainly by China, Japan, India and the USA, the

ERG SpA orders Nordex Xtended Power for three wind farms Hamburg, 5 May 2017: The Nordex Group has received an order to raise the yield of a total of 63 existing multi-megawatt turbines from its customer ERG SpA in Italy. The operator plans to equip three wind farms with the performance-enhancing "Xtended Power" technology. In principle an increase in yield of up to two percent can be obtained using this product package. This is achieved by a combination of optimised pitch control and a more intelligent turbine control system. The manufacturer has offered the Xtended Power package for N80/2500, N90/2500 and N90/2300 turbines since autumn 2016. The "Fossa del Lupo" and "Amaroni" wind farms are situated in the region of Catanzaro and have been in operation for a good five years. The third project, "Vicari", is in Sicily and has been feeding green electricity into the Italian grid for nine years. The N90/2500 is in use in all three cases and these turbines have been initially serviced by the manufacturer since their installation and actually fully operated by Erg. “It’s important for Erg to have a good cooperation with the manufacturer and in Italy we can say that the objective has been

2017 marks the 10th anniversary of Intersolar North America, a leading trade event that has grown alongside the solar industry San Francisco, May 4, 2017 – The U.S solar industry has seen exponential growth over the past decade. Since 2007, photovoltaic (PV) solar installations have skyrocketed from 1,063 megawatts in 2007 to 14,762 megawatts in 2016. Intersolar North America has been there every step of the way and experienced a similar boom. More than 550 exhibitors and more than 18,000 visitors participated in Intersolar and ees North America in 2016, with an even larger crowd expected to attend in 2017. Alongside the growth of Intersolar North America, a key driver of industry growth has been the declining cost of hardware. According to GTM Research, the cost of solar has fallen over 70 percent over the past decade, dropping from over $7 per watt to just over $1.5 per watt. As the solar industry has evolved, discussions at Intersolar North America have also shifted. Attendees used to delve deeply into photovoltaic hardware costs, reduction and manufacturing efficiencies each July, but now conversations are shifting to soft costs, benefit analyses of competing battery technologies, the performance of emerging analytics platforms and other software-based solutions.  Hardware is still a vital component to
